If I had to factor in that sad, sad thing I don’t have: money. And even then it comes up to be ridiculous. I suppose I could just justify the fact that I’m not buying gas (due to the equally sad fact that I can’t drive yet). Listed and explained in the order I would ideally purchase them it, had I the budget.

1. Jill-E Small Yellow Camera Bag $139
I’ve come to realize that, without a camera bag that I would be able to unconsciously carry with me (read: more or less not look like something I pulled from my dad’s closet or that I was and therefore more or less coordinate with my clothes), my dSLR doesn’t get to see much action outside of planned shootings. And what really is the point of having an SLR if you don’t travel with it? So I need a camera bag that doesn’t actually look like a camera bag but instead a nice purse which could subsequently hold other important purse things like my cellphone, Coolpix, mirror, wallet, etc. After much searching (and jaw-dropping at the price of a simple Shootsac, I thought this design would suit a girl like me best. Though honestly, for the ladies, there isn’t much to choose from.

2. Nikon SB-400 AF Speedlight $107
So I can bounce my flashes and skip over the horribly harsh shadows. I figure I don’t need things too fancy, and I hate carting around the big and bulky (see SB-600 and 800). This ones petite and straightforward, and I’ve heard it packs quite a bit of power as well!

3. 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Lens $110
This would be my portrait lens.

4. 60mm f/2.8D AF Micro-Nikkor Lens $415
The macro-photography slash portrait lens.

5. Tokina AT-XAF124DXN 12-24mm Wide-Angle Lens $470
Wide-angle for landscapes.

6. 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED-IF AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor Lens $650
General walk-around lens to replace kit lens.

Now that adds up to a grand total of: $1,891 if a my mental adding skills have not failed me. Ouch. Mind you, and this just covers the big things. Filter, tripods, remotes, etc. not included. Expensive hobbies. Pft.
