I suppose it not too much a surprise - inevitable, even - but it’s time for me to aknowledge the death of this site. I’ve inched forward in my life, and my thoughts have taken on a different direction than darkfaerytale has provided, not least of all in the [spelling] of its name, but in what it embodies for me as a blog and site.
And the fact is, it’s always been more of an empty showcase than a true blog.
While I still love fairytales and all the dark undertones they carry with them, it’s time for me to shed my younger identity once more and step into a different one. One that is more true to myself. So yes, I have started another blog that is truly a blog at some other address in the blogosphere that I don’t care to link to this one - email me or leave a comment here and I’ll send you the new address. Also, I was tired of people spacing this domain as Dark Faerytale.
As for this site, well, it’s going to stick around as a nice graveyard/memorial for about another two years, since that’s when the domain expires. So if you’re being hosted at this domain, don’t worry, you have time. That is, unless you haven’t updated in a over year - then you’re site’s been cleaned up.
If anyone’s curious, and you have an LJ account, I still update with sporadic frequency on thistlewood.livejournal.com, so you can feel free to friend me there. My facebook is also linked somewhere around this place.
So without further ado, good-bye. It’s been a great 5 years. Or something like that.
